The Teddingtones is directed by Laura Luck (BMus PGDipRAM). A former choral scholar of King’s College London under the late David Trendell, Laura gained a Bachelor of Music degree and continued her vocal studies at the Royal Academy of Music with Julie Kennard and Jonathan Papp, gaining a Distinction, a DipRAM for an outstanding final recital and the Henry Cummings prize for singing.

Specialising in oratorio, Laura has performed as a soloist in major venues such as Cadogan Hall with a performance of Bliss’ Pastoral, Queen Elizabeth Hall for Mozart’s Solemn Vesper’s, and under the legendary baton of Trevor Pinnock in Bach’s B Minor Mass as part of the Spitalfields Festival, amongst others.

Three children later and solo work has taken more of a back seat, but Laura has discovered a real passion for teaching, working on the Eton Junior Choral Courses and teaching at a number of prep and secondary schools, as well as privately. A former Director of Music at St Mary and St Alban, Teddington, she passionately believes in the benefits of singing together and maintaining a balance between achievement and fun. Her musical tastes are diverse, so as a member of The Teddingtones, expect to learn anything from Elgar to Britney Spears!

We are also lucky to have Paul Maguire as our wonderful piano accompanist at rehearsals and performances.

Choir administration is overseen by Emma Slater; contact her if you’re interested in coming along for a free trial or for any other information.

We are very grateful to Newland House School who kindly allow The Teddingtones to use their Pre-Prep Hall for rehearsals.
